Yours is not Mine...

I was heading back home today waiting to write about some great myth busters about health and lifestyle, but a funny thing happened today that changed my topic. Early this month I had prescribed a gentleman a diet plan and exercise plan suiting his lifestyle and objectives layed out for his body. Now word of mouth can be such a boon in disguise I would soon know when a lady who had heard about his benefits decided to try it out herself. She then came up to me today and asked if that gentleman's diet would suite her too.

Often I have seen and heard of people trying out somebody else's diet just because it has worked like a miracle for them. Why would anybody treat food as a mere mode or gateway to shortcuts as per their convenience I could never understand ? How can one body type react to the diet of another body type? Mi casa may be tu casa but Mi diet cannot be tu diet.

Metabolism for everyone is unique and it is this metabolism that people fail to understand. Well never mind I would never suggest nor recommend you to commit this blunder ever. Imagine a lady in her 40's following a meal plan etched out for a man in his 40's ohhhh what a disaster her body and mind would go through inside. Firstly everyone's (man or woman ) metabolism changes as per age group, in your teens your metabolic rate is higher so is in your early twenties, by the mid - twenties to late twenties there is an insignificant change, in the thirties for a woman the metabolic rate dips slowly and steadily. Metabolic Rate - what is this jargon ? It is the rate at which your body burns calories or produces energy. It is also the rate at which your body fat is burnt and stored and your lean body developed. In a gist its how fast your body gets rid of the extra calories you have consumed.
Always first find out what your metabolic rate is or your BMI or fat percentage through a professional consultant, then the next step would be to assess your current lifestyle and then rectify whatever is wrong by means of planning a menu plan and exercise schedule as per your current metabolism. Let me leave you with this thought in mind to ponder over and do let me know if there is anything I need to address for your knowledge or querries.

Wish you wellness.
